Teen girls will be instructed in all of the above fore-mentioned life skills, and the practical skills of personal grooming and nail treatments.
They will practice in the classroom on Nail practice hands & fingers.
Students who are interested in pursuing this professionally may request their hours to be applied to the professional program (Kosti Beauty Institute Certificate Professional Course) so they may become certified.
Customized student supply kit is provided for each course session.

Nail Technology Certificate Program This course includes four levels of focus. Professional Techniques in; ~ Natural Nail Manicuring ^~ Nail Wrap & Gel Techniques ~ Sculptured Acrylic Nail Application & Refills ~ Hand painted Nail Artistry Diploma will be Awarded for Accredited Courses* upon successful completion and 75% final exam including practical classroom studies and practical work. Written, practical & classroom participation will each be taken into consideration for successful completion Special considerations are made for enrolments in the Practical & Self Esteem focus program. Tuesdays 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Saturdays 10:00 am - 3:00 pm The complete Certificate Nail Technician Program includes practical hands-on instruction in the following topics: Nail Enhancements** Students will receive training in artificial nail enhancements and techniques needed to create long beautiful artificial nails. The application of nail tip extensions, acrylic application, overlays of acrylic, fiberglass & linen nail wraps, and UV gel coatings will be instructed and practiced in classroom, and at home with the nail trainer practice hand. This life like moveable hand with replacement nail plates makes it the same as having a real life model to work on. Award Winning Nail Technician Colleen Kosti will be instructing and other visiting Award Winning guest artists to share their expert tips with students. Students will also be able to work at their own pace with their practice hand and by watching teaching DVD. Basic Manicuring Introduction to professionalism, salon procedures, manicuring for maintaining healthy nails, different nail shapes, and proper filing. Chemical and salon safety, theory on nail structure, anatomy, function and disorders and diseases of the nails will be learned. Hand and forearm massage movements will be demonstrated and practiced. Proper colour selection and polish application is practiced with basic manicure and French manicure techniques. The student also practices conducting new client assessments; nail analysis and viscosity of the nail and natural nail treatments. Nail Artistry All basic forms of Nail Artistry will be explained. Proper brush and painting techniques will practiced and studied through DVD training and first hand instruction from Award Winning instructor Colleen Kost KBI founder and other guest artists. Practical instruction will include sample nail tips for home. Creating designs for at-home projects, including hand painting, rhinestones, gems, marbleizing, foiling, and striping tapes, feathers, decals and custom nail designing.	Nail Tec/Design/Pedicuring Program Natural and spa Pedicure technique to maintaining healthy feet & nails will be included. Theory includes: equipment, implements, supplies, preparation, procedure, proper filing, and foot massage, polish colour choice, proper polish technique.
