Colleen Kosti has authored the complete Esther's Finishing School curriculum.  The material is composed into 4 teaching methods;

1. A weekend Modeling School, Friday pm, closing with Saturday all day/eventually to become a girls retreat weekend
2. A one day / or 3-2 Hour-Finishing School Workshops
3. A 20 minute special feature
4. One year long program ( 5 sessions of eight weekly classes) with the summer off for Fashion Show/Dance Productions.

 

Background & Experience 

   

• In 1979 I went to Modeling/Professional Image School in Windsor.  After the yearlong instruction program, I assisted the Director in the school & fashion shows and with the model instruction. 
• 1979 – 2001 Professionally modeled in wholesale, runway and print work.  I did fashion shows for Sears for 5 years, Hudson Bay for 4 years, local advertisers, Windsor Star features, and a print job for Ford in Dearborn Michigan.
• In 1980 I began teaching as an instructor for the St. Clair College Cosmetology program after I completed my training as Makeup Artist, and Aesthetician, and then wrote my own Basics of Beauty & Pre Modeling Course, which I instructed there until I opened my own salon and finishing school in 1985 in Essex & Windsor
• Closed the salon in 1991 to be at home with girls and John & I went to Bible School. 
• Graduated from Bible School in 1992- 1993
• I received more training in Color Analysis and certification from several image companies in the US, and one in Toronto in 1986. 
• In 1985 I was awarded first place in two Sculptured & Nail Artistry Competitions for the Mid West USA, and then I began training for a company out of Las Vegas, for area Hair/Cosmetology Shows. 
• I also taught Emily Hunter's Christian Charm, and the Young Man in Demand for our church's youth groups, and my daughters’ Christian School.
• I have attended the Speak up with Confidence /Carol Kent, training two times, and the Dale Carnegie training program as well.
• I also received 2 weeks of intensive training from Joanne Wallace's (author & women's speaker) school of Image Improvement June 1992, in Camp Hill Pennsylvania for their consultant/etiquette training program. 

 

I purchased all of Joanne Wallace's Image Improvement courses, and slides presentations.  These are courses I use and have included in the Finishing School:

1.     Self Discovery (talent discovery and organizational skills)
2.     Jr. & Women's Image Improvement  (this is a complete course on etiquette/visual poise/conversation skills, beauty etc.)  I have rewritten this into my own course, which I have named as Queen Esthers Grace & Beauty Classes.  This is an extension of Esthers Modeling Agency & finishing school.  My vision is to train up young people to be ALL that God created them to be, through providing the training, networking with other Christians, and support locally and nationally to do what God has called them to do in the field of the creative arts.  I provide reasonable portfolios for them, and employ students & associates in the photography, makeup & hair artistry fields, and help them build their experience and businesses.  I provide an atmosphere of integrity and fun for young people to learn in, and teach them Biblical principals of integrity, character and virtue in their spiritual and physical makeup. 
3.     Working Women's Seminar-total makeup and wardrobe imaging.
4.     Pack It Right - Pack It Light.  How to pack a week's wardrobe into one carry on bag.
5.     Conversation Skills (I wrote and put together for our church's visitation ministry)
6.     Non-Verbal Communication.  (A course with slide presentation of body language and presentation skills.  I have taught it as a seminar for the Bible School at our church)

I also have written and purchased the computerized programs for the following:

1.     Your Ideal Silhouette and Suit Yourself - computerized figure analysis, and customize a personal shopping guide with pictures of your best lines and designs in clothing styles.
2.     Computer Hair Style Gallery - A digital computer program I put your picture in and shows you with hundreds of hairstyle, and I print out a selection of the best ones for your facial features and coloring.
3.     Queen Esther's Beauty Treasures Cosmetic line.  A lab in New York creates my own line of skin care and Custom Blended Foundations and powders.  I create your best colors in foundation moisturizers, and glamour products.
4.     Nail Technology course, and Nail Artistry Techniques - Hand Painted, 3-dimensional art, and airbrushing.  I have been self taught in these, and then won awards that the Lord gave me favor in 4 competitions, and then received training and products and opportunities from many manufacturers in the nail industry and beauty business.
5.     Pedicuring, Manicuring, Makeup Artistry Courses.
6.     Waxing and hair removal.
7.     Color Analysis Certification
8.     Corrective Makeup and camouflage makeup for birthmarks, port wine stains, & burns.
9.     Praise Flag twirling & Tambourine & Dance- I have 4 levels of syllabus and certification.  Margrate Yap of Shachah Ministries International trained my daughters & me.  My oldest daughter attended her full time training school and lived with them for 6 months in Desoto Texas.  I visited several times, studied by video and manual and attended conferences, and was certified in New York under the Yaps, in my Flags, and Tambourine & Dance. 
10. Body and Soul Aerobics Instructor - I was trained for several years in Maryland, 1999-2001and instructed for Body & Soul Ministry/exercise classes.  This is a very good evangelistic outreach for neighborhood mom's or women, and for dance/classes.  The workouts are choreographed to the latest Christian Music, and updated 4 times per year.  A devotional is written to feature each song from the workout, for a cool down fellowship/ministry time at the end of class.  I love this ministry!!  They take on referred Christian women to become instructors.
11. We as a family (John, and our 2 daughters) were able to work at Metro Ministries-Bill Wilson's for a week in New York in the summer of 2000.   Bill Wilson ministry teaches over 23,000 kids in New York Bronx, at weekly Sunday School meetings.   We did the visitation to the kids and their families, and the bus routes, and taught some praise flags there.  It was an awesome experience for us.  We loved it, and implements our training and methods in our position as Children’s Pastors in Michigan.
12. Our entire family went to live on a Native-Mohawk reservation in 1998, as John traveled extensively drumming and ministering with Broken Walls Ministry.  It was a wonderful experience to see the reconciliation between races, and experience living with another culture.  Our daughters & I did some traveling with the band as well, and did makeup artistry for the television show ‘Spirit Alive’ several times.  We also began a dance/flag ministry in Belleville church, and held two weekend seminars for other churches to come to for training in flags/dance & tambourine.
13. Dance Instructor for Kids Art Smart – after school program for the public school board system. 2000-2001
    -instructed three age groups of children at separate lesson times in movement and dance, and completed with a presentation for family & friends.
14. Oct. 2001 – Sept. 2002 John and I accepted the position of Children’s Pastors on staff at Evangel Christian Churches in Roseville Michigan.  I commuted four days a week on staff full time, and he came and ministered and taught for services.  Keitha also worked part-time directing and establishing their nursery/toddlers ministry. Here I used every skill I have, from computer to dance ministry, teaching youth, children, training teachers, cleaning, executive secretary, teaching in their Bible School - counseling – you name it   I had to take a sick leave as advised by my Doctor in writing, due to the long hours of 16 hours per day, plus the commuting.   

These are most of the courses I have and have taught over the years.  It is my desire to use my talents for the Glory of God and for the church ministry wise.  I feel God has called me to do this full time, and I also have excellent office skills.

My long term goal is to establish Training Institutes.  These would be places where young people could be trained in their creative skill, use them in their church and community and establish their roots there, rather than compromising their talent in the world. Then they would use it to evangelize and minister, and become leaders in their fields.

I have a vision to produce 'Esther's Testimony Fashion Shows' where I will be able to present the visual worship arts, and incorporate it into the graduation ceremony for the Esther's graduation or presentation of the girls upon graduation of their training.

 

Additional Skills

1. Computer knowledge – Excellent on Microsoft Photo draw, Word, Front-page, Excel, Outlook, Palm Pilots, Publisher and Web designing.  I have designed by own web site:  www.esthersmodeling.com

And produce my model’s composite cards and their modeling portfolios, business cards, flyers and brochures.

2. Excellent people/receptionist/telephone skills, and composing letters.  I did all Bishop Jerry Piscopo’s letter writing and notes to hundreds of ministries and people weekly.
3. Type 70 words per minute
